I am owner of Exit Realty Carolina. My real estate career started a a very young age because my Grandfather and Father were Real Estate Investors. Many Saturday's were spent in their properties cleaning, mowing grass and listening to tenants. As I grew older I graduated from cleaner/grass-mower to a more active role. In 1982 I received my NC Salesperson's license started part-time at Help-U-Sell in Burlington, NC. I absolutely loved it and in some months made more money working part time at Help-U-Sell than as a full-time worker at LabCorp. In some months while working part-time I was top-producing agent with the company. In 1996, on my 15TH anniversary with the company I resigned (I wanted the free watch) and enrolled in classes to obtain NC real estate Broker's licensen Real Estate Investment Analysis. I started my full-time career in 1996 with a small privately owned firm, Hawkins Realty in Mebane, NC. My experience with the firm was nothing more than excellent. When help was needed or unexpected issues were discovered the sole owner and a "hands-on" Broker-in-Charge were accessible and willing to provide prudent direction. There was no need to contact Corporate Headquarters or deal with bureaucratic "red tape". Performance expectations were based upon local market conditions. My first full-year's production was in excess of 2.2 Million and at the end-of-year's awards banquet, I was recognized for Outstanding Achievement for a first-year agent. In 1998 I changed my affiliation from the former firm to RE/MAX Diamond Realty in Mebane, NC. One of the factors that enticed me to join the company was association with a Nationally recognized firm and exposure to training programs that were not available through my former, or other smaller independant firms. After a few years I became impatient and decided to venture out with my own firm which I started from my living room. I have taken the lessons learned from large and small firms, recruited, high quality and trusted managers and with the input of many Today, I perfer to focus my energy on listing and selling real estate. At Exit Realty Carolina two Brokers in Charge, Rudy Baker in the Burlington, and Steve Moore in the Mebane, NC offices are highly involved in the management of the company. Both gentlemen do an excellent job and make sure I know what I need to know.
